Travel as the locals do and explore Amsterdam by bicycle! Ride through the city’s historic centre to the picturesque waterfront and explore everything from the red light district, to ultra-modern architecture, 15th century buildings and even a brewery housed in a windmill. What could be more Dutch?

Itinerary

Jump on board a bicycle and travel like the locals do! Join an expert local guide to tour Amsterdam on two wheels. Starting from Central Station, pedal towards the city’s infamous red light district. Then head to De Waag, a remnant of the city walls that dates back to the 15th century. These days the Waag is surrounded by the central market which houses coffee shops, restaurants and even an organic food market.

The next stop is the Nemo science centre to admire this ultra-modern building, designed to look like a ship moored on top of a car tunnel. For fantastic views over the city, keep riding to the public library. From the library’s terrace, see the city sprawl out below.

Ride along the waterfront and see the Music Hall, the Borneo island and everyday life along the water. The final stop is a brewery housed within one of the oldest Dutch windmills. Be sure to sample some of the local brew before riding back to Central Station.
