  • Get your stomach ready for an adventure into the culinary heart of one of Europe’s most celebrated cities: amazing Amsterdam. Start this gastronomic tour by joining a friendly guide in one of the oldest squares in Amsterdam.
Find out why the locals love snacking on hot, salty Belgian fries by trying some yourself. Have a quick tour of local shopping street, then have a taste of traditional sausage.  Eat some puffed-up pancakes, and digest while we tour the Spui neighborhood  in the centre of town. What more treats? Yes we love to fill you up, so come hungry.
End of tour, head to a distillery that dates back to the 17th century, where you can hear tales of its history and sip spirits and other traditional drinks. The tour ends here but there’s still plenty to enjoy in Amsterdam. Why not relax in a nearby café, admire art in a gallery, explore a museum or hang out in a bar?

Ms. Erin B. from Canada travelled on 25 Jan 2016:

We had an amazing time on our Amsterdam Food by Foot tour – we got to try some of the most amazing local food (hello those french fries in a cone!), and our guide was a local who was super knowledgeable about Amsterdam’s history. The highlight was a boat ride on the canals – would definitely go back & tour again.

Ms. Elizabeth G. from Australia travelled on 08 Oct 2015:

Really enjoyed this tour — we tried a lot of different foods, and thought the supermarket stop was a quirky and fun part of it. Urban Adventures are great for the first day in a new city, to help find your feet.

Mr. Daphne C. from Australia travelled on 19 Nov 2014:

We really enjoyed the tour with Jean despite the rain.
Would recommend it to any travellers

Mrs. Beverly H. from travelled on 12 Oct 2014:

Our expectations were way exceeded! Much more fun, food, knowledge, and entertainment was packed into the brief 3-hour tour than we would have thought possible. Our guide Sean was excellent: his knowledge of local history, sociology, and current lifestyle was extensive and presented with enthusiasm and humor.

Ms. Odette H. from South Africa travelled on 13 Jul 2014:

Our guide Shaun was great fun, he had lots of good stories to tell about life in Amsterdam. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back to the same places the next day and ate more yummy Dutch food. We will definitely be recommending this trip to our friends.
