Go beyond the iconic Heineken, Grolsch, and Amstel brands and delve deeper into the fascinating world of Dutch beer on this walking tour of Amsterdam that incorporates great cafes and drink stops!
To begin, meet your enthusiastic local guide inside the Beer Temple, a short distance from the original Heineken building in the Amsterdam center, an appropriate starting place for this refreshing adventure! Walk the beautiful streets of central Amsterdam, stopping in the downtown area to sample local beers and learn about the Belgium and German influences that have shaped the Dutch brewing industry. Learn about the spots where Amsterdam warehouses used to store beer back in the 15th century and then take a detour through the red light district to visit a small brewery located within this infamous area.
On our Amsterdam beer tour, we visit another brewery that just opened and finish the adventure at a legendary local beer haunt that has more than 200 different varieties of beer! Anyone who drinks beer will be amazed at the range on offer here. Choose to sip on a pale lager, gulp some bitter ale, or sample a strong triple malt to celebrate the end of the beers and breweries tour of Amsterdam. Raise a glass with friends and make a toast to Amsterdam. From there, you’re free to head back to your accommodation or stay on at the beer hall for another sneaky tipple. Be sure to talk with your guide to get insider information on the best things to do in Amsterdam and the best places to go for beer during the rest of your stay.

Mr. Michael F. from USA travelled on 10 Jan 2018:
My flight was delayed but they allowed me to attend a tour the next day with ZERO issues whatsoever. I had a fantastic time learning about the history of Amsterdam and how the Dutch played such an important part in the development of the culture of Europe. Tyler even catered to our requests which made it even more fun. Highly recommend and I’d do it again!
Mr. Steve V. from Canada travelled on 20 Aug 2017:

Great tour, great guide.
Mrs. Carol P. from USA travelled on 13 Apr 2016:
The tour exceeded our expectations. Sean was very knowledgeable about the city and the places we visited, and he was well known in the area. We visited places we never would have found on our own, sampled local beers and liqueurs, and got a fun education about it all at the same time. There were only four of us in the group so it was like a night out with friends, with a personal local guide. Highly recommended.
Mr. Robin H. from Sweden travelled on 15 Dec 2015:
Our guide Sean where excellent. We had a really good time. The beer (and other liquids) where first-rate but even better than that where our discussions about Amsterdam and the rest of the world. I highly recommend this tour to everyone that are interested in brewed and distilled liquids and getting to know interesting facts about Amsterdam.

We had a great time with Sean. It was a nice relaxing beer tour, not like so many of the club tours offered elsewhere around the city. This tour was exactly what we were looking for.
